One of Internet.com's site, Windrivers.com has moved to subscription based service. The windows drivers search engine is not free anymore. Honestly, i used to hang there and added WinDrivers.com to my bookmark for Drivers Resources, But not anymore; i would not pay $50,- for regular price just to look for a link to my hardware manufacturer site.

What on earth happend to the internet? As we all know, in the real world there is nothing call FREE STUFF, there are always be some catch. As for Scott the Former Owner of WinDrivers ( he sold it to Internet.com 2 years ago, still he maintain the site until now) have no power over policy on Windrivers.com.

I red some Forum posts at Windrivers.com, people are so mad about what WinDrivers.com will be, but what's the point? it's not their site, there is nothing they could do. Dont like it, you can leave.

I know the statement above is a little bit harsh, but why people keep complaining for something that would not effect their real life so much? and expecting what they have will be forever is too naive, dont you think? There are still many drivers site like http://www.drivershq.com , http://www.driversguide.com .

I do feel a little bit sad about Windrivers.com, but hey, life goes on :)

PS. Dont worry, LinuxMAX will always be commercial free :p
