OpenLogic Offering Now Covers Linux, Windows and Solaris

BROOMFIELD, Colo. – March 8, 2007 – OpenLogic, Inc., a provider of enterprise open source software solutions encompassing hundreds of open source packages, today announced the addition of more than 60 Solaris open source products to its certified open source library. OpenLogic Enterprise users will now be able to access and manage open source products for Solaris 10 as well as Linux and Windows.

OpenLogic’s offering includes:
• A certified library containing hundreds of open source packages that are certified and indemnified by OpenLogic.
• One-number-to-call technical support for every open source package in the certified library, backed by open source contributors and committers in the OpenLogic Expert Community.
• The OpenUpdate service which keeps companies up-to-date on the latest patches and releases.
• The OpenLogic Enterprise technology platform, that lets customers enforce open source policies and automate open source integration and deployment.

“Our enterprise customers deploy open source on a variety of operating systems,” said Steve Grandchamp, CEO of OpenLogic, “and want a single, trusted source for all of their open source needs. OpenLogic is the only company that provides open source solutions for hundreds of open source packages across Linux, Windows and now Solaris.”

Since Sun’s release of Solaris 10 in January 2005, customers have registered for over 6 million licenses, and the product’s developer community has grown dramatically, with over 16,000 members currently registered on OpenSolaris.org. Solaris 10 has seen particularly impressive adoption in the enterprise, where it is used by 97 of the Fortune 100 and 85% of the Fortune 500 companies.

Solaris open source packages added to the OpenLogic library include a variety of the most popular middleware, infrastructure and development tools, such as Axis, Hibernate, Jakarta Commons, JUnit, Maven, POI, Struts, Tomcat and Xerces.
