What are the three critical elements of a Web 2.0-based collaborative solution?

TARRYTOWN, NY, August 23, 2006 Open-Xchange, Inc. today posted another position paper intended to review the forces changing the market for information technology in general and collaborative solutions in specific. These position papers are written by the world-renown software analyst, Daniel Kusnetzky, who is now the Executive Vice President, Market Strategy, Open-Xchange Inc. The position paper, Three Critical Elements of a Web 2.0-based Collaborative Solution can be found on the Open-Xchange, Inc. website. http://www.open-xchange.com/EN/news/position.html

Organizations find themselves today in the position of being too busy to redesign and reimplement established solutions in order to integrate their IT infrastructure completely. No, most organizations are focused on integrating their established point solutions rather than authoring totally new software. This trend leads them to the focus upon three critical elements of a solution.

Although it is likely that entirely new categories of applications will emerge in time, the killer app of today is making everything work together. The goals are cost reduction, improving staff efficiency and increasing levels of customer service.
