Believe it or not, Microsoft's CEO Steve Ballmer has made a fool out of himself AGAIN! After been cornered in the Anti-trust case, he suggested in a deposition recently released that the only way to comply with some demands in its antitrust negotiations was to drop Windows Operating System completely off the shelves.

I've noticed several articles recently about various governments switching to, promoting, or just including Linux / open source in their software procurement programs. The city of Largo, the German and South African governments.

Remember the day where PC cost more than $3000? Those days are over, these days PC's are well priced around $399 up to $2500 for the xtreme system. I'm not talking about the fully build system by Big Companies, but systems that are home made and self build or what commonly call Clone and DIY PC (Do It Yourself PC). The system that were homebuild are extremely well equipped for around $700 with almost up to date components.

Copy protected CD's has been out for a while, in fact i got one. As a consumer i'm not happy being told that i cant play my audio CD on my Linux computer. What can you do as consumer?, does this mean that we cant listen to our favourite CD that we bought on our computer or rip it into MP3 if we own an MP3 player?

I just wanted to let you know I think you are missing a very good linux distro called Trustix Secure Linux, which at this point is at release 1.5. TSL is a very stable and secure linux _server_ distro, with no gui and other non _server_ apps, just pure server stuff. it's great and fast (i586 optimized (only pentiums or better, and also just pci). www.trustix.net

Thank you, Microsoft, but no thanks!

One of Internet.com's site, Windrivers.com has moved to subscription based service. The windows drivers search engine is not free anymore. Honestly, i used to hang there and added WinDrivers.com to my bookmark for Drivers Resources, But not anymore; i would not pay $50,- for regular price just to look for a link to my hardware manufacturer site.

Since no one writes on this channel, i'll be the first to start. I just wanted to point out something about Linuxmax. So far Linuxmax had been making great progress since the first time i visited this site, it was a month ago.
